About Paloma

About this typeface

Info

ABC Paloma translates the most basic of shapes — triangle, circle, square — into legible letterforms, organising a visually unique and systematically consistent archetype family. It derives from avant-garde constructivist alphabets by the likes of Herbert Bayer (Universal Type, 1925), Jan Tschichold (Single Alphabet, 1929), and Max Bill (Konkrete Kunst, Kunsthalle Basel, 1949).

First drawn in 2021 for the visual identity of Bikini Books, ABC Paloma has since been extended into a multi-weight design ranging from Hairline to Ultra, covering 97 Latin-based languages, and is optically optimised with 33,753 kerning pairs.
