Ikarus is a humanist double-family: a sturdy, monolinear text design on one side, an articulate, high-contrast companion for headlines and display on the other. Rooted in wayfinding, it features open terminals and clearly distinctive letterforms—optimized for readability at a distance, in challenging light conditions, and at the smallest type sizes. Three widths (Condensed, Normal, and Extended), eight weights per subfamily, and matching italics give it a serious range. A variable font axis ties it all together, allowing seamless movement between Ikarus’ extremes.
