About Prophet
About this typeface
Info
The Prophet family is inspired by Joseph Churchward’s Georgina, and it combines warm calligraphic curves with a clean, machine-like sensibility—bridging the hand-drawn and mechanical genres. It’s also somewhat prophetically the first typeface that Dinamo co-founders Johannes Breyer and Fabian Harb worked on together.
Initially, Prophet was used for our own personal projects and shared occasionally with close friends and other collaborators. After an intense production process spanning three countries, two timezones, two continents, four Skype accounts, and one Dinamo world tour, the family of six weights with corresponding Italics was released in 2016.
