Printed Specimen
After receiving the Swiss Design Award in 2017, for the very first time we decided to compile all of our typeface together to form a newspaper-like publication. Each typeface occupies one of eight loose sheets and displays the complete character set. On the reverse side of the sheets, selected images associatively reflect the core ideas behind each typeface, and our About spread reveals more of our studio’s inner-workings (including more information on our pen-wielding da Vinci Surgical System). Each sheet has been printed using a different offset raster (ranging from 20–160 LPI), so that the publication forms not only a type specimen, but also a print-raster specimen. The Dinamo Specimen comes contained in an anti-static poly bag that’s screen printed in white ink that’s been mixed with 20% silver.
